Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists promote quality and meaningful lives by enabling clients to safely and successfully participate in activities or occupations of everyday life. They do this by assessing the abilities of clients as well as the environment that surrounds these activities then work with clients to implement methods that enable or enhance client’s participation and independence. Activities include:

  • Daily living activities such as showering, dressing, grooming, eating
  • Providing support in organizing household management activities, shopping, childcare, budgeting, banking, financial management, home maintenance, driving
  • Educational activities such as school learning
  • Leisure and social activities
  • Workplace activities

REDHS Occupational Therapist support clients in Community Care including home visits, Acute and Transitional Care services and within our Residential Aged Care Facility.
