REDHS is proud to have a large number of regular volunteers who contribute to REDHS in many different ways.

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your local community. Volunteering at REDHS can be a very rewarding experience and doesn't require a great deal of your time. If you have a special talent such as playing a musical instrument, singing, craft or cooking you can combine your passion with volunteering. However, you don't need to have any specific talents to be a volunteer at REDHS. Some of our volunteers simply visit residents, read newspapers for them or have a cup of tea and a chat.

  • Reading Newspapers and short stories 
  • Welcome to REDHS/meet and greet
  • Ladies auxiliary
  • Outdoor garden activities
  • General outdoor activities
  • Room visits – sit and chats
  • Drivers/bus trips
  • Helping residents with technology use
  • Assisting residents with walks
  • Weekend activities
  • Provide support within our admin team
  • Provide support in our REDHS Café​
