Our acute ward consists of 10 beds, one of which is for special (palliative) care and one *emergency care trolley.
There are five visiting medical officers (VMOs) who have admitting rights.
*REDHS does not have a government funded urgent care centre.
Patients in need of this service will be referred to a medical practitioner from the district.
The medical practitioner may agree to attend the patient at the hospital where appropriate facilities and assistance will be provided.
A fee will be raised by the medical practitioner for the consultation at our hospital.
