Registrations for these programs must be completed on the PMCV Allocations and Placement Service site  https://allocations.pmcv.com.au/

Rochester & Elmore District Health Service Program
REDHS is a modern 70 bed rural facility delivering a diverse range of services to its local communities including acute care, urgent care centre, residential aged care, district nursing as well as a robust primary care service. A year at REDHS offers graduates an exciting opportunity to begin their career by gaining exposure in rural nursing that is guaranteed to consolidate and expand their knowledge and skill set in a supportive team environment.

The graduate will be supported to utilise evidence-based practice and maintain a high standard of care.  They will participate as a team member with medical, nursing, community health and allied health staff as part of a multidisciplinary team providing individualised and holistic care. The graduate will be offered 8 paid study days as part of their graduate year. There will also be the opportunity to participate in in-services held at the facility. The study days may be tailored to meet the needs of the graduate.

Northern Rivers Graduate Program.
Rochester & Elmore District Health (REDHS) in collaboration with Echuca Regional Health (ERH) offers 6 graduates the unique opportunity to complete their graduate year working 6 months at ERH and 6 months at REDHS. This gives the graduate the opportunity to experience a rural and a regional facility.

REDHS provides a graduate year with St Anthony’s Family Medical Practice at their Strathfieldsaye Clinic. This program allows the graduate to experience both a rural facility as well as working within a busy medical clinic that is committed to promoting health, wellbeing and disease prevention to their clients. The graduate works alternate weeks at REDHS and the clinic.

The program is designed to provide consolidation of nursing knowledge and skills whilst using a holistic approach to the delivery of nursing care.

Positions offered are 0.8 EFT (8 days per fortnight)
