David lives just outside Bendigo but has family links to Elmore. David enjoys sports, particularly cricket, football and soccer, and European travel. He is very much looking forward to enhancing the Board’s clinical skill set.

Dr. Carol McKinstry
Carol joined the Board in July 2014 and is a registered Occupational Therapist. Carol brings a wealth of experience to our Board having previously worked in the areas of patient safety and quality improvement. Carol lives and works in Bendigo and her and her husband enjoy a rural lifestyle while still having access to great services.

Jim joined REDHS Board on 1 July 2019. Jim is a lawyer with 20 years’ experience in private practice and as the manager of regional organisations. He is a mediator with 30 years’ experience. He is a mediation specialist, a nationally accredited mediator, a farm debt mediator and a member of the Land Court’s mediation panel.
Jim has a long history in managing sensitive and difficult disputes, including human rights and discrimination matters and commercial disputes.
He has experience as Chair of the Cairns State High School Board and on the boards of community legal centres and the Thancoupie Scholarship fund.
Jim’s work with the Dja Dja Wurrung clans in Central Victoria and being close to his mum who lives in the REDHS hostel provides the opportunity for him to contribute to REDHS.
Kate Lemon, Deputy Chair
Kate joined the REDHS Board on 1 July 2017. Kate is currently the Public Environments Manager at the Shire of Campaspe, where she has worked for the past 27 years in various roles, Kate has lived in the Rochester and Elmore district for nearly three decades and loves the close Rochester community, wonderful businesses and services. Kate is married and a mum to three adult children and enjoys spending her time with family and friends, gardening, motorbike riding, and travel. Kate looks forward to further developing her skills in the areas of corporate governance, strategic planning, business development and public health management and making a positive contribution to the Rochester and Elmore community.

Jodie joined the Board on 1 July 2016 and works as an accountant at Jodie Smith Accounting based in Echuca. Originally a Rochester resident, Jodie is passionate about rural communities, agriculture, horses and rural health. Joining the Board has allowed Jodie to further her interests and studies in understanding rural health.

Brad joined the REDHS board on 1 July 2020 and lives locally in Elmore. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Catchment Management Authority and Chairs the Bendigo Community Bank branches in Rochester, Elmore and Lockington.
Chris White, Treasurer
Chris is a former Rochester resident who still sees himself as a local. Now living in Bendigo, Chris still spends plenty of time in Rochester visiting family and friends, watching local footy and playing golf. Chris has worked in health service management for over 12 years. He joined the REDHS board on 1 July 2018 and is looking forward to bringing this experience to the board.

Ben joined the REDHS Board on 1 July 2017 after having been an independent member of the Board’s Audit Sub-committee for 12 months. Ben has worked in local government as well as in business banking and accounting. Ben was born and raised in Central Victoria and lives just outside of Bendigo. Ben looks forward to bringing his skills and experience to the Board to ensure that REDHS continues to offer the best possible service to the region.
