Acute and Emergency Services

Our Acute ward consists of twelve beds, one of which is for Special (Palliative) Care and one *Emergency Care Trolley.

There are five Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) who have admitting rights.

*REDHS does not have a government funded Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.
Patients in need of this service will be referred to a Medical Practitioner from the district.
The Medical Practitioner may agree to attend the patient at the hospital where appropriate facilities and assistance will be provided.
A fee will be raised by the Medical Practitioner for the consultation at our hospital.

The nearest government funded A&E Departments are:

Bendigo Health and Echuca Regional Health
